I'm going to the Silverstone Classic this weekend.
I have not been to the circuit for a few years , therefore can anyone suggest the best photo spots .
I have in field access but would prefer to stay at the northen half of the circuit as I will have my better half in tow.

I would say the Priory and Luffield corners.

Depends on what lenses you have. The best spots from Public areas are definitely long lens zones.
In addition to Andrew's suggestion above, if you have a long lens or something that works with a TC, you can shoot over/through the fence at Club and likewise at Stowe.
Exit of Club, standing on the banking shooting over the top of the fence..

Looking over the Fence at Luffield. There's 2 or 3 possibilties from here if you wander along the terrace.

I might be there myself although i'm not sure which day yet :)

At the Luffield complex you should be able to get reasonable pictures with a 300mm lens. I suggested this as there are various angles to get, and the cars are probably moving at their slowest. There probably won't be much in the way of overtaking unless people take a chance into priory, or some light nimble thing can go around a big heavy thing that relies on sheer grunt to muscle its way around.

Thanks for all the tips. I will be using a 100-400 with a x1.4 if necessary.
