Help a newbie, canon rebel problems

Hi guys, i just got my canon digital rebel today! I love it so far, but there's a problem with it. sometimes when i shoot, right after when it should save to the memory card it locks up and shuts down by itself then starts up again without saving the picture. It seems to do it randomly and i don't know what the prob is, please help!

try a different memory card first...

i figured maybe that was it. it's a 2.2 gb microdrive running at 4200 rpms. what do u recommend?
