A Summer trip to US from Canada

Hi everyone,

Where would everyone suggest in terms of a short (within 8-9 hrs drive) driving trip to the US from Toronto? A 2-3 days trip.

The main purpose is just to get out of town, relax, and do some shopping (since CAD is rocking sky high now) :)

We went to Buffalo last summer, and have NYC in mind this time (B&H i am coming!). Anywhere else I should be considering about?

When I drive to NYC, I go I-81 south thru Syracuse then across PA. for a short stint. While in PA, you pass by an outlet mall at Tannersville. No tax & high canuck-buck equals mega-deals.

You can't go wrong in NYC, but there is so much to do, it's not exactly relaxing.
