I have decided on the 10D and today I stopped by the two "pro" stores in my area. The price for the body ($1499) was the same at each store. One store had several in stock & one store was out. At the out of stock store the sales person said that they should be getting more in the middle of next week. As I was walking out the door another gentleman came up & said he was the buyer for the store & he had made the decision not to order any more 10D's. He told me the price would be coming down and/or a new model coming out soon. Of course he didn't define 'soon'.

My intention is not to start more rumors, etc. but I thought it was interesting that a retail store has made the decision not to stock the 10D any more. Kinda makes you wonder........

BTW, I have decided to bite the bullett & get the EF 24-70 2.8L. I have read too many times on this & other forums that "bodies change but good glass will always be good glass" (or something along that line.

About 2 monts ago when I was shopping for my Digital SLR i stopped in to a local retailer called Micro Center.
THey were running a sale. 20% off all digital cameras.
I was pissed that they were out of the Digital Rebels because at $800 with lens it was a steal.
The salesman said he had 1 10D left which would sell for $1200.
He said that they would discontinue stocking this camera.

I wish I would have had the extra money at the time to get the 10D but i went to bestbuy and they gave me 10% off digital rebel. :)

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents on what I've heard.
No doubt a new camera is gonna replace it, it's just a matter of when.
