With such high contrast all the texture in the materials used has been blown away. It now lacks interest.

I like the way the light plays out on the high hat in #2, I'd really like to see one with that as a focal point, I'm sure you could do something interesting with it.

And yes, while we're at it, I'm a bassist and I like them.

While I absolutely respect your opinion, I have to disagree... the form of the drums, the high contrast, and the leaking, blown light is what makes these images interesting, IMHO... but people have different taste in PP & presentation. Thank you for your input.

However the background was blown on purpose because I knew the effect I wanted in the end.
But, I did not intend to be in the reflection on the kick drum... :) It happens
