1. “The Look” (of concentration), while you’re minutely examining her face/hair for a full minute before taking her pic.
2. The way she's totally ignored while you're taking pics of someone/something else.
3. Your habit of only buying one place setting of plates, cups, silverware, etc. so you have choices if you need them for a shot.
That's a start. What's yours?

4. Getting all excited about the new camera I'm going to buy.
5. Giving her a long and detailed explanation about the technical specs of the camera I'm going to buy.
6. Giving her a long and detailed explanation of how I'm really poor and can't afford it.
7. Giving her a long and detailed explanation of why I'll probably buy one anyway................................
You get the picture.

1. Opening the credit card statement each month.
2. When I complain about the amount of luggage she travels with because it takes up space my 3 backpacks, 3 Halliburton cases, and two camera bags. could use.
3. Unless there's a good camera store in the area, I don't like to take her shopping. (Kits, Ritz, and others of that ilk do not qualify!)

After a few days, I got strange looks from the neighbors, too!
After a week, the next door grandma (who I think came from one of the Balkan countries), would see me come out of the house, & she'd quickly go inside hers!

1) going out for a walk (with 10D and assorted lenses incl a 100-400).
2) on said walk being asked by someone what lens that is and then chatting to them for an hour about the merits of L glass.
3) "are you on that Forum thing again, what do you lot find to talk about?"

Not putting the camera away with HER favorite lens on it. You would think I did something drastic, like leave the seat up.

What really pee's them off is having it set up on a tripod in the perfect position to make sure she can't escape it when gettin out of the shower.
Accidently, like you said, or course

Maybe invite them to show some photos in your bedroom after second date and then offer to make a portrait of her...
She's gonna save the portrait for many years probably... cause the rebel + 50mm f1.8 are nice for that

Yeaaa, right! Where are some women out where who prefer to get a nice glass on HER camera rather then on her hand.... We do exist and I guess I can start a topic 'Things about the photography that drive guys nuts".
How abou staying at home with newborn baby for several hours while his mother is at the model shoot on the beach??? 8) How many of you would understand and handle that?

i'd say producing good work is the only way i can impress the ladies. if they don't really know about photography, all the terms and equipment means jack to them. showing them the successful end result is the way to prove to them that you actually know how to use all the stuff and that you've got that sexy artistic side :D

like there are no girls who fit that description
There are many of us who actually nod in understanding (not just politeness) when you mention words/phrases such as;
Pixels
L Glass
exposure compensation
Linux (yeah even that one!)
kernels
hue
code tags
etc..
etc...
etc...

I think just me showing up with a camera drives some crazy. In a more recent instance, the women's softball team I was practicing my skills with decided to start hitting foul balls at me. You should see how big that ball looks at around 250 mm!
And these are women that I know! Come to think of it, maybe that's why they were hitting them my way.....

Hahaha, I got so burned for this one yesterday. I kept going on and on about it and she eventually threw my cell at me and told me to call someone who cared lol.

Next on the shopping list, some bengay, for the time you sacrifice yourself from the ball about to hit the lens. hahaha

Heh, these are great. The thing that my mother/sister get into is the whole "you spend HOW MUCH ON THAT?!" or "Why do you need THAT flash when you can buy this one which is $enter 2 digit value here?"

My favorite so far is, "when she finds out the glass on my camera cost more than the glass on her hand."
