How are they? I am thinking about getting 2 GB 133x.

There are rebates going on with these right now. So a normally 39.95 2GB is now only 24.95 after a 15 dollar rebate.

that's not a very good price, sandisk ultra2 2gb have been on sale for $25 for months now (no rebates). i have both kingston and sandisk and the sandisk seem faster but i've never sat down to test them...

Been using 2GB and 4GB ultimate 133x for a while now without any issues.

Perhaps a rebate price is calculate already. Also, the SanDisk Ultra2 is only a 9MB/10MB write/read rate vs. the Kingston's 20/23MB.

So, the Kingston seems to be a better deal. I've also noticed, unfortunately that there have been a lot of SanDisk problems, though I have read that the Kingston is not quite as fast as they claim.

Kingston is definately one of the most reliable brands. Personally I use Sandisk because the price was right for the speed I wanted when I bought it, I found that the faster Kingstons were more expensive per Gb

You will not get those 20/23 MB transfer speeds. Those are for people in a dream world. A utopia of file tranfer if you will.

The price has been fluctuating on these for a while. On Adorama the 4GB Elite Pro was $65.95 with a $30 rebate. Today they are $54.95 with a $30 rebate. (http://www.adorama.com/KGCF4GE.html) $25 for a 4GB card is an incredible deal. Kingston rebates are good too.

I've been using Kingston with no problem. I did get a card that was assembled backwards but they took care of it on one phone call. I had a SanDisk that was bad right out of the package and it took 4 hours and 4 phone calls to get them to own up to the problem.

Edit: Check out the CF database on Rob Galbraith's site. (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007-7303)

You're probably right about the dream world utopia, but it's just nice to know.
Here are the Kingston's at BH (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?shs=kingston+cf+cards&ci=0&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=productlist.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t)
Good customer service sometimes pays to have.
Thanks for the link.

Well Yoda, a problem I've never had Adorama with.
One time I ordered something and the next day it went down in price. I called them up and they adjusted the price with no problem.

yeah robG has show the kingstons to be a little slow relative to the ratings. while the ultra2 still are rated near the top even now, compared to the extreme3 and extreme4.

but i do agree that $25 for 4GB kingston is a pretty good deal, even with a $30 rebate, i've never had problems getting kingston rebates--i've done them a few times.

I use them with no issues. I have noticed that maybe every 1 of 200 shots, I get a blank, but it maybe a blip with the camera and not the card.
