The Tacoma Rainiers and Las Vegas 51s had a long, weather delayed weekend. They finally finished on Monday with a pair of seven inning games. It was my first time shooting baseball with any seriousness, so your comments are encouraged.
#1. Rainers game #1 starter, Robert Rohrbaugh -- he made the same face, no matter what the pitch:

#2. The Rainiers' Rob Johnson breaks up the double play:

#3. The 51s' Chin-Lung Hu (MVP of the 2007 All-Star
Futures Game) puts the bat on the ball:

#4. The 51s' Matt Riley -- three Tommy John surgeries and still at it:

Nice shots....#3 i would probably have liked to see the action stopped a little, but then again it shows the effect also... Nice work

Thanks. I didn't actually expect to get bat on ball in #3 -- I was trying to capture the power this guy puts into every swing. That I happened to get the ball was a bonus.

Good stuff. Were these taken from the stands or camera well?
I especially like #1. The background has a watercolor effect.
The cut in half third baseman is kinda awkward in the last one. At that angle, I would shoot horizontally to include his whole body.

Thanks for the comments.
These were taken from the stands. There is no camera well at Cheney Stadium. My seat was about six rows back, just to the right of home, but I wandered all over the lower seating area, being careful to stay out of people's way. #1 was through the net -- the others were taken from about three rows behind the first base dugout. I probably tried at least a dozen different spots over the course of both games. There were lots of available seats, and I was very careful not to bother anyone in their actual ticketed seat. (My ticketed seat was used for a while by a TV crew filming an interview with the mother of one of the players.)
In #4, the defense shifted towards right for that batter. Other shots taken from that spot didn't include the third baseman, but weren't as good of the pitcher.
