Hi,

I've been asked to submit a proposal for the league
that my son plays in. (for fall ball and next season.) They
currently have a contract with someone which is expiring.
I never saw their work because they never really showed
up ;( a shame really.

I've tried to search the forum for ideas. I have a rough idea
of what information I'd like to offer. any ideas feedback? I'd
like to keep it short.

Paragraph 1

brief introduction of my photography background. although, I've
only been shooting for a few years, I currently shoot our local minor
league affiliate as well as some of the visiting teams for a few
web/print sources. I also am team photographer for two teams in
our local collegiate summer league.

Paragraph 2

what I can offer? Action photography, Portrait, Prints,
Posters, and custom printed items. Mention my web site URL.

Paragraph 3

something like... Thank you for your consideration and follow up with
and offer to attend the next board meeting.

Attach: personal and professional references

budgetary pricing for a few items (8 x 10, memory mates etc)

Samples of my best work...

Thanks!! Dave

Dave,
Your outline is good - you should keep that part to a one page document - as they will most likely only look at your work and "what's in it for them"

with many leagues, they expect a percentage "give back" to help fund the league, maintenance, equipment. typical numbers are in a 5-10% of your revenue from the sales. If you are set up with a laboratory to get different print sizes, magnets, cups, etc, then provide a "proposed price sheet" and make it clear that you can add more or have fewer items available. A few typical shots are also recommended IF you will be doing the action shots - if it is just T&I then I do not think it would be necessary

remember if they had an official contract with another photographer, they are shopping around and looking to see what is the best deal for the league

good luck
