This was my first time attending, and it blew me away! I can't wait for next year. I am new to photography in general, and especially to airshows, any suggestions on how to improve would be greatly appreciated!

Wow I'd say you're off to a great start. I really like that second picture of the Mike's Extra, it does look a little dark though. Thanks for sharing. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks for the encouragement! Is it the plane or the background that looks dark?

If that is infact Michael Goulian's Extra I am pretty sure it is painted red and gree, so on my monitor the green looks nearly black. Also it is pretty hard to make out the canpoy. Nice pics either way.

2 p-51's collided today. remainer of today's airshow was cancelled.

First part is true. Airshow was only interrupted about an hour or 2.

No more like 2 P-51 collided and we did a bit more airshow and then cancelled it after about 3 more acts. Closed down at 5:45 or so then blew up the explosives for the warbirds show (should have pulled the camera back out of the bag for that one) IMPRESSIVE EXPLOSIONS.

1 dead in the P-51 crash (no name yet, but we know who it is) and the other pilot was about 5' away from meeting his maker since the other P-51's prop chopped the back of the fuselage about 3 feet behind the canopy.

That makes 2 P-51 deaths in 2 1/2 weeks. Not good.

Awesome! Just awesome. All four are fantastic but I like #3 and #4 the most.

Nice shots. I like 3 and 4 the best, but there's something about the first one that I really like.

Real shame about the crash. A few years ago at my second AirVenture, if I remember right, a P-51 crashed after doing the missing man.

I also liked 3 and 4 best on the screen, but I have printed them all and number one looks the best to me in a frame!
