View Full Version : Cotillion Party...First paid wedding type job...

I rarely deal with this many people as a group but a friend of mine had asked me to do her Cotillion (Filipino Female 18th Birthday Celebration).
The schedule is to be at her house in the morning and shoot everyone getting ready. There will be 18 girls and 18 guys all together.
As recommended from many on this board I had purchased a new 580ex II and Extra CF Cards So I approximately have about 28GB worth of CF cards among 4 Cameras with 2 Camera guys. I also got the CP-E4 for the flash.
About 3-4PM we are going to goto UOP (private university) to take photos outside of the chapel (beautiful place). It will be approximately 85degrees.

Any word of advice???

I have about 2-3hrs of shoot time. I was thinking of purchasing an off camera cord to shoot some of the portraits. I remember seeing Bocaj with the bikini shoot how he was holding it off with one hand. Is that too much of a hassle? I have a 580 and a 580 II. I also have 2 Assistants.

If you have two 580 units, you can use one as a master and the other as a slave so you don't need the cord.

Other advice? Things like this rarely go according to schedule. Expect your 2-3 hours to quickly turn into 1/2 to 1 hour.

I figured that, I just spoke with the client today and she seems to be having a hectic time.
