Never photographed a wedding before and I don't profess to be a good photographer, but I did have a great time.

Here's one of the bride.

I've posted the original shot and the slightly pp'd version.

They look softer than the original, I assume due to compression. Shot at iso 800.

Nice shot. I don't really see much PP though. Let's see some more!

A couple more. Just choosing them at random. I have loads I would love to share, but I have to be realistic.

Only PP on the above was to take out the light areas to the left of the brides head. I have nearly no photoshop skills so please forgive me. I'm sure some of the wizards on the forum could make much more of these shots.

The brides maids.

As I said I don't do photoshop so please forgive me for my simple effort.

I'm going to be honest when I say that I hate the white vignetting. I think it looks very dated.

Kato, not bad for a first wedding....in these pictures you should've used fill flash to remove the slight shadow on a face or two, and to brighten up the faces...they're under exposed

Steiglitz.
Believe it or not, I did use fill flash. I used the 550EX. Pic 2 would have been horendously shadowed had I not. The photo was taken around 5 in the afternoon and the sun was getting quite low on the horizon.

I agree with others. The white vignette is not adding anything positive to the photos. The middle ones aren't bad, but could have benefited much from some fill-flash. The top two of the bride look a little too orange/yellow on my calibrated monitor. Also, she may not like this one because of her nose in the profile shot and her skin could maybe be softened a little too. Just my honest opinions.

dsze.

Thanks for the input. I can see exactly why you remark regarding the skin colour and the profile.

This is the colour the brides skin was as she had fake tan applied prior to the wedding.

It may look accentuated on your calibrated monitor as all the adjustments were made on my laptop which is not.

The shot itself was not a posed photo, merely a snap as she sat waiting to go and sign the register.

Its not a bad shot, just drop the orange and maybe red saturation a little bit and/or cool off the white balance and I think it'd look better. Of course, some people prefer that warmer skin tone. It just looks too orange to me.

You're right. I have done as you suggested and it does look far more natural. Thanks.

+1 to that.
