What are your settings?
Lens, how close to the subject, shutter speed, aperture, manual or auto focus, ISO, tripod.....

shutter speed 2secs used a tripod, i was probably a a foot away, av f5.6,iso100
focal lenth is 55mm, lens i used are 18-55mm, manual focus
sorry im still new to this,, also is there a way to copy and paste the info?

It just looks to me like you may have pushed the lens too close to the subject. You may have exceeded the lens minum focus distance.

I agree with Naturalist regardng pushing the minimum focus distance ... back up just another inch or so. Did you use a tripod? From where was the light coming...maybe a little source from the left might work well. Just a few thoughts.

I think it's out of focus because you used manual focus, and me myself I can tell for sure if a picture is well focused considering the viewfinder is pretty small on my 350D. So I try to avoid manual and go auto. The auto-focus sensors are way better than my eye. :)

It's a 2.0 second exposure - something probably moved. Kit lens at f5.6 will also give soft images - keep it up above f6.3.
