Thanks... a lot. I was really thinking people would not like it, here is the original . I edited yesterday around 2am, spent like 20 seconds on it lol.
Any suggestions appreciated, like is there a right and a wrong way to get a black and white picture ?

Which one do you guys like, the photoshop version, or the DPP version which is the first one I posted. Last one, done in photoshop messing around.

I like it (the first image, that is)! The dark sky gives the image a certain amount of mystery and drama and there are nice textures in the wood. I'm curious as to what this image would look like with a little less space on the right hand side but then again that space gives 78th AV a "place to go". Nicely executed.
I find the next two to be not quite as pleasing. #2 looks a tad flat to me (even looks like it may have been converted according to some "recipe") and #3 is a bit harsh.

Thanks for the opinion, if number 3 was toned down a little bit, the brights and what not, would you still like 1 more ?

I think so, but its hard to say without seeing the revised #3. I used to do a lot of B+W shooting in my film days (darkroom and all, of course) and I would always look for and print subjects with form, texture, drama and that sort of thing. So, I think I'm drawn to the texture in the sign post and the drama in the sky and its overall tone in image #1.

What I noticed is it seems like number 3 has more detail in the sign itself. Maybe if I mix that up, if I have some time I'll mess with it more and post it back up for your opinion. Thanks
