I know I haven't been able to contribute often to the WWPD but as we are now at the weekend and I could not see a theme, I don't want to see this die so:
This weekend's theme is MAN MADE. The subject can be anything PROVIDED it has been built, created, carved, etc. so that it is MAN MADE.
The usual rules apply:
- take photos from sunup Friday until sundown Sunday
- post photos by Monday or when you have time
- usual forum rules for image posting apply which means max 800 pixels on longest side and max 2 attachments
Have fun.

edit: bit of a bend in the description really... seeing it was noted that the item had to be carved etc etc... but er... yeah :D

Anything man made - carved was an example... ;)
Besides - you could say Jessica was carved out of love...
It's all interpretive, mate.

Exactly :D:D
Sometimes the best bit is seeing how other people interpret the theme :D

Thank you Mark for keeping this communal thread *afloat* Nice shots there Paddy! Cute Kids and well done John, always one to get a bit of different take on things.. I thinks it's because you live at the bottom of the planet! Hopefully I'll find something to share this week also. Happy shooting all.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than have to have a frontal lobotomy!

HA!
There ya go - bottles are man made. Perfect choice for this weekend.
um - actually, several challenges back I think I posted a couple of bottles...
I can guarantee one thing. The level in them would be the same.

Wonderful shots everyone. This was such a good theme that I hate I couldn't get any shots for WWPD. I still got to shoot on Saturday, but that was "work". Hopefully I can get some shots this weekend. Speaking of which, why don't we start talking next weeks theme earlier this week. Any ideas?

Well great shots everyone. Loved the interpretations.
Mike, I came up with the theme and never took a shot over the weekend  I really need to try and make a point of it.
Hmm, We just ahd 'man made' - how about 'natural world'?

Geeez, I'm still working on Man Made :p Mike take a look at the themes we haven't done and you might like a couple of those. I loved man made and I have some shots, but cannot seem to get to PP, I'm still at work!

I hope I can partitipate this weekend. It looks like for the first time in weeks that the weather will be good enough to go out photograph. And this weekend as every year has lots of different events going on in Copenhagen at the same time. Damn organisers. Why can't they pick different weekends....
Oh well I have a choice between a yearly cultural event in the Harbour with lots of different acivities friday, saturday and sunday, then there is Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix saturday and sunday and finally on sunday the finish of a danish cycling race Post Danmark Rundt.

That would be fine with me. I also kind of liked layers, lines, and wild from the list. Any thoughts?

Better late than never they always say. Been a busy week and have just got around to last weeks shots.
This is not only man made, but where they made men (and women).
A couple of shots of Tibbits Hill School near Knowlton (Brome County)Quebec. Built in 1844-46.
A quote from the handout the Historical Society has prepared
"It was built of well-selected stones taken from the land by the willing hands of the pioneers whose only compensation was the education of their children."
