I accidently put this in the wrong section. I ment to put it here to get some feedback on what could make these better.

1. I didn't have a tripod for this shot but I still kind of like it

You'll get a better response if you post 1 pic, or maybe 2-3 of the same situation.
The first one has an interesting feeling, but as a group, they don't hold my interest. Like the books of snapshots that parents keep showing you when you couldn't care less & just want to get their daughter out of the house?

I appreciate the info.
I'll keep that in mind when posting next time.

For what it's worth I think the color pictures are great, especially the old guy. :)

I would like the first picture to be a little sharper. I really like the cicada.

PJ,

Dude, I love the first one. It definately holds my attention!

I have seen your website and only for that reason do I say I am not crazy about the cicada. Yeah it's a nice sharp picture but it doesn't say anything and is a bit boring. Again, I say this because your other work seems so much more creative and intiguing.

You don't seem to hold back and you take chances. Keep it up and go for it!

Great pictures. I like them all. But if you ask me, and this is just if you are asking me, I think that #2 is the winner of the lot. The framing, the DOF and lighting all work. But it is the woman. She is so obviously lost in thought. It really seems as if she has the weight of a lifetime on her shoulders and is trying to forget about it in that mug.

Fantastic. That one really tells a story.

Save #1 if it's a relative of yours. You'll want to remember him when he'd dead from smoking those things.

I agree. I can't put it as eloquently as Digital Prophet but there's just something so compelling about that photo. Even the little tipped-over milk containers "fit" rather than being distracting. Nice work.
