I read somewhere that you can actually display and sell photos from an art exhibition without a model release...is this the turth?

Not sure I understand the question. What is it you would like to do (or think you could do)? If you want to take photos at an art exhibition of the setting, people attending, etc - you would be able to see them for editorial use in many cases without a signed release from all in the images I believe.

If you are looking to take an image of an image and reprint and sell that, I think you'd be in serious trouble if and when it was discovered! :-)

Give us some more details and perhaps we can help.

What I had read was that as long as it was a print at an art exhibition that no release was required. This of course flies in the face of releases etc... I was curious if anyone had any experience with this avenue and what the protocol was - A busy street say...
