I like the rock, if you clone out the rock I'd wonder what the hand was doing. Try this as a portrait without the ship visible I think it'd make the image better.

Goose, was that your intention to have the other side of the river blurred? I don't like it. The little boy sitting in the foreground is good. The photo looks overall blurry because of the other side. Reshoot it, and stop 'er down.

personally, I REALLY like this shot. Has a great sense of emotion to it. Love the fact that it's b&w too.

Like it, like the rock and the blur.. suggests that the boy is focused only on where his rock will land, despite all that exists around him. Very well shot.
