Hi,
Is anyone successfully using a slave flash with the A20? When my slave fires, my picture is very dark???

Does the A20 double flash? It's doesn't appear to, but this is the only thing that I can think of that would make my pix dark.

Thank you,
Steve

I'm looking for the answer to the same question. It appears there is a double flash to set exposure value. The first flashes the slave, measures the light, sets exposure for the light it has measured. When the picture is registered, the result is underexposes because the auxilary flash isn't there for the actual exposure.

That's what I've reasoned. I'd like someone to confirm that. is there any way to outsmart this smart machine withour great expense?

Most slave flashes trigger on the pre-flash, indeed resulting in dark images with our "double-flash" digicams.

I know only two fixes :
- a new flash that can trigger on the second flash (the "real" one)(http://www.srelectronics.com/ or I think there is also a Metz flash)
- a trigger that ca adapt to any flash and triggers on the second flash (http://www.d-store.com/d-store/Digi-Slave/sa10.html). Only if you already have a high-end flash and want to use it, as it is quite expensive IMHO.

Hope this helps.
