I covered two games yesterday, these are from the main game, light was better for the other one (will post that match later) but still ok for this. All shot with the 70-200 f/4 L @ f/4. Thanks for looking C&C appreciated.

After useing the Sigma 70-200mm and going to the 70-200 f/4L the pictures you have posted have got cleaner and brighter, have you put the Sigma 1.4 or the Kenco 2x to see how much is lost in quality?

Thanks khall, to be honest it is simply a much better lens, so much sharper! I have used it with the 1.4X @ f/5.6 and the results are still great. As for the 2x, it cannot be used with auto-focus, it hunts continually. Also it would be a bit tough shooting at f/8 for these sort of events. I've pretty much decided that it is only L glass for me in the future after seeing the improvement in results. Next on the list is the 300mm f/4, should only be 1-2 months before I get it too. Thanks again for the kind words

Rob - nice stuff there, definitely continuing the improvement with these! Good to see you handling the lighting better too - never pleasant when you get the harsh side lighting!

Good work!

Thanks Paul, I'm loving the L glass and that combined with everything guys like you have taught me on here is helping slowly get to a stage where the shots are satisfactory! The winning try shot (my least favorite of the set but obviously most relevant) was published in a major newspaper too!
