A number of sites which review or test the Ixus V, also show sample photos.

I noticed that most of the samples include information concerning aperture (f stop) and shutter speeds.

How do the reviewers manage to get this information?

The camera settings are stored with the images. You can see the camera settings using Zoombrowser. In the browser display window select an image and then click the "I" button. Or I believe that you can select an image and click on it with the right mouse button to view its properties.

Thanks for that Papa.
I don't normally use Zoombrowser, but I will now to see my settings.

Cheers,

Hi!

That information is recorded by the camera into each image and it's called EXIF data.

I use an shareware aplication to view that infomation and the pictures called "EXIF".
