Taken at 7pm when it was overcast so the lighting was pretty poor! ISO 800 just to get anything like decent shutter speeds, mainly 800-1000/s.

C&C Please because my shots really don't seem to be jumping out at me :(

Not bad at all considering the time they were taken, I think anyone would have problems apart from those with F2.8 lenses.

I can see the noise on the images but that is to be expected, to me they all seem to suffer a little underexposure & the white balance seems slightly off, although I cant be sure on that one yet, its just the sky looks a little green on some shots.

Do you shoot in raw or jpeg? raw will give you a little more flexability.

If you dont mind me "having a go" I will try something on a couple & see if I can come up with anything better, it might just be a little extra post processing is needed.

After another look they definately have a green cast, this may be the reason why your not liking them, do you see the green cast? as it may be your monitor calibration off a little.

This next one I applied a little noise reduction to just the out of focus areas, not the ball itself & of course removed the green tint by applying more blue.

Hey Nick, you have done a great job with those!

I processed them on the works laptop which could possibly be why they are a bit green, the monitor is really dim! I have been shooting JPEG at the moment but I may just go on to RAW and see if it helps! Damn it I need sunny days!!! Next time I'll ask him to wear more colour too as the shoots are a bit bland without reds blues and yellows!

On the serve pictures I would like to see the face of the server, like wise I think the racket should be in all the picture as well. The pictures as adjusted by Nick look a lot cleaner.
But picture taking like sport is all hard work and practice.
Good Luck keep trying.

Thanks for the advice khall, I agree with the point about the racket being fully in the picture! I will try some different angles next time!

Yeah I just noticed that after he pointed it out,

Actually it looks like he is doing a swan lake dance in that shot :-p

Keep at it mate, practice makes perfect & all that,

Its been lovely down here today, I pulled off the road & took this shot earlier on, we havent had much sun over the past few months, its been the worst summer ever! maybe we will get a better autumn, it might actually be a mild winter which would be nice.

You gotta watch your horizons, leveling your images will make them much easier on the eye. Easily done in PP thankfully, but much better done in camera!

That was 12 images stitched together, if you drop a horizontal line it is perfectly level, its the hills on the left that make you think its slanted, its not though, also the wider I go the more you start to see the natural curve of the earth.

My mistake, I naturally thought you was meaning my shot, as you mentioned the horizon which you dont see in his shots.
