Im curious, do you wedding photogs get many requests to shoot the bridal party getting ready? (Brides and attendants getting dressed) Ive seen few examples on the net. Is this considered boudior photography? And do you bring up the option or do you let the bride mention it?

when i do a "real" wedding, i always ask the bride if they want shots of her gettin ready. Some say "great idea" some say nope. I leave the choice up to them.
and NO, its not boudoir shots because u only getting shots of make up being applied, leave room for dress to be put on, then shots of them finishing up. Maybe if you're a girl u can stay in and get some more shots but i wouldnt push the line lol.

usually you get images with them getting ready, hair and makup, and get some details of things such as makeup and flowers, food, all the little stuff they have in the room,

I always go in and get "PREP" shots..and they are far from what I would call boudoir shots.
I love shots of make up canisters/boxes, lipstick, the special perfume for the day, make up brushes...they make great backgrounds for albums as well!
