New person question please help if you can...
I have my 400d i now shoot raw full manual and like the lattitude RAW offers
and M mode aswell.
But i just don't take good photos and i am going to have to work on my genetic lack of artistic vision.
Can anyone reference any good books or websites for me please ?
Cheers

My preference is for landscape and candid.
I do have an ambition or portraits but i need to get my head around this first.
I just don't see it like some more gifted shooters i need to learn it.
Have you nay refferences....

My advice since seeing and composing is a very personal thing and is VERY difficult to teach is to look at works by the greats. Start with looking at books by
Ansel Adams, Yosemite and the Range of Light or really any photography book by him.
Edward Weston anything by him
John Sexton
For documentary try Bruce Davison, Danny Lyon
A must see book By Robert Frank, The Americans
Street guys like Lee Friedlander and Gary Winogrand
See and pay attention to the way they've composed their images. Yu can learn so much by just looking. Then try and make it your own. The hardest thing to do as a photographer is to find your own style, your own voice. The way you see is what will separate you from all the others so learn all you can but try and not become a great imitator.
Oh almost forgot also look at Henri Cartier Bressons work. He coined the phrase "the decisive moment". Just goes to show if you have a real good eye it beats a motor drive everytime.
