Hi guys, I have not posted some pictures here in the longest, anyhow this is only my second engagement shoot. Shot this past Sunday with a very nice hispanic couple and we had a great time. They arrived late so sun was being a pain but I gave it my best and it seems it paid off. It was also my first time using a pocket wizard set (thanks lloyd for the tips) a new 5D, which I purchased two months ago, and some other goodies... everything went as planned. I really enjoy feedback, These are my favorites...if you would like to check out some more, I do a site for all my clients.

I absolutely LOVE number 3, but I'd try to clone out that bloody pigeon.
I also adore number 6, but again, I might think about cloning out the unidentifiable thing on the water to her left.
On many of the shots, I feel like I can see... er... shall we say... a bit more of her legs than she would have likely desired? It's inevitable, I think, what with sheer white clothes + water + flash. I think some creative Photoshopping can help with that as well.
On the whole, though, I'd say that this is quite a magnificent set.

Awesome lighting. Just the 580 off camera??
Favourite's are 1, 3 and 7. Agree that the pigeon should be cloned out of 3.
Great set Juan.

hey guys thanks for the comments! the pigeon shot, well yea I kinda like it but I guess it's taste, I wished it would have been a white pigeon though. These pics have so much cloning of people etc in the water, thanks for the suggestion on cloning the ships in the horizon I took care of it already...
Yes this was just with one 580ex off the camera with a pocket wizard... can' wait to start building up on flashes etc.. the possibilities for creativeness are endless.
for you pigeon haters :)

Awesome job here…Like everyone I like #3…but I also like the B&W…her smile looks natural. She just looks happy….I could see that on their wall in their house….whatever you did to get that smile keep it up on the wedding……I LOVE you website,. I’ve been to a ton of TOP pro sites and yours is easy to use and you can see your work without any fuss….(I know you did not ask for a website CC)…anyway…. there are more shots I like as much or better from this shoot!....thanks for sharing!

Hey thanks Lloyd, I owe some of this to you with that cable hack :) I got the pocketwizards on Saturday and used them for first time on Sunday, I was somewhat nervous about it, but yes IT WORKED GREAT! A PW setup is a +, and it shows!

hey thanks I really appreciate the great comment, actually I'm a graphic designer and i stopped making sites a few months ago when I merged completely into Photography, that was the idea with the site just keep it simple! About the BW picture, MY FAVORITE SHOT OF THIS SHOOT was another shot like this which is EVEN BETTER ('ll post it later) but my flash didn't sync fast enough and they came out dark and I had to lighten it up artificially and it sucks for a book, print etc.. for web it will work but I didn't want to take the chance of them choosing it for an enlargement. Now I'm negotiating with them to change the music on the slideshow it kills the romantic feeling but it's a latin tune that they relate to. I'm anxious to get my first Asukabook out, I'll post when I'm done!
a million thanks guys

some generic I found on my local photo store, any you would recommend?.... I first tried a hotshoe adapter but it had a voltage regulator and it didn't want to work at all. It was like 50 bucks which I found a ripoff but it was backup incase my cable hack didn't work, long story short, I kept the hacked cable and the regulator is back at the store shelves, my wallet feels better :)

That last one doesn't look real! All are very good. They should be pleased. I am always nervous taking my gear to the beach. Sand is the worst thing to deal with.
