Why do I get this when I sometimes check the shots in my camera? (I think that's the wording) The photo is much reduced in size with the writing below it.
Thanks

What CF card are you using? (Please tell me it's not a Magicstor 2.2GB microdrive...)

Not really sure! I have three different ones, never noticed to see which card it is. I'll have to check next time it does it.

I have one card that does this as well. It's my only 64MB card that I used to use in a PDA and now only use in a pinch when i need to eek out 5 more shots! It does this everyonce in awhile and only to 1 or 2 images on the card. ?? I just try not to use it. None of my other cards do this.

Reformat the CF card in the computer to wipe out everything, including any previous debris. The reformat the CF card in the camera, which is a quick format to get it ready for the camera.

I always reformat in the camera, but how do I reformat in the computer? Just the old rt.click and format or do I need to use the canon drivers/software when formating for the canon camera?

It depends on your operating system, but basically you reformat a CF card in the same fashion as any hard disk or removable disk. The only trick is that some operating systems will give you a choice of what format type to use, such as FAT32. You do not want to use NTFS for a CF card. If asked, you want to do a complete format, not a quick format. Later on, when the CF card gets back into the camera, a quick format is done there.
