I am using a Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash with the Wein HSH house current to hot shoe adapter with connected to my Xt using a hot shoe to house hold cable. This setup worked fine with my 420ex but now I cannot get my Sigma to fire using this setup. Any suggestions>? When I put the flash on the camera by its self it works fine.

From what I understand, the Sigma needs to be in slave mode (optical, I think) but don't remember the details. Give that a shot and see if it works that way.

Yep. Put the Sigma in optical slave mode and you're good to go.
It's not too complicated, but there's a full set of instructions on this page (http://flashzebra.com/tips/supersigmamanualmode/index.shtml)from the Flash Zebra.

Worked like a charm! Man it really shouldn't be that hard, if your buying a good flash you would think it would be fairly dummy proof for someone who has done this setup before. Oh well not saying much about me i guess haha. Thanks again.
