Swap for 10D?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel and I love it so far. However, a local shop is willing to give me $500 credit for it in trade for a new 10D. Are there enough advantages of the 10D over the Rebel to make this trade? I do know the 10D can take more shots before unloading the cache than the Rebel, and this appeals to me, but is there anything else significant?
Right now, I am leaning against the trade, but if y'all can convince me...
(And before anyone suggests it, no, I can't afford to just go out and buy a 10D too.)

Trading up might be a good idea, but only $500 credit for your Rebel sounds pretty poor (unless there's something wrong with it). I would think you should be able to sell it outright for more than that.

I dunno...the kit is going for ~$850 in some places brand new. I doubt I would get more than $600 for it. Maybe on ebay, but I am hesitant to sell on ebay since they ask you for your checking account number and I don't feel like handing that out.

Try Fred Miranda's Buy/Sell forum (fredmiranda.com). I think used DRebs are going for $700-750, although there certainly have been fewer listed lately.

i kinda agree i think its well worth more than 500 bucks i think for 500 i would keep it thats just my 2 cents

I just witnessed a Used 300D fetch 1275 Canadian dollars on ebay. WOW. Thats about $900 US. LOL
