OK guys. Here is your chance, again. I'm outta here early tomorrow morning to spend the rest of the week at Mt Ste Anne working (?) at the World Cup. Last time I went away, there was a rather poor attempt at a garage sale and very little money was raised. Try it again if you like but plese remember to turn out the lights when you are finished.
Jessie, willie and Chi Chi are standing guard. Both Willie and Chi Chi have had their beaks sharpened  so watch yer fingers :!:
Beer in the fridge and chips in the pantry.
See ya all Sunday!

Have a safe and pleasant trip, Ian. Just be sure not to stand in the direct path of any run-away bike this time like you did the last time and nearly got run over. :)

Great! Lawn mower drag races as Ian's house! Bring your own mower (reel, electric, battery, gas, ride 'em, self propelled, or manual propulsion...) We'll start at Ians flower bed, and go. Later we can do some lawnmower soccer. (Using a big beach ball try to push the ball into the correct landscape feature (pond, flower bed, shrubbery...) Those who's lawn mower 'eats' the ball is out of the game and must pay for a new ball.)

This sounds more fun than a garage sale. Infact.. If we empty out the garage, we could have a dandy obstacle course!

Gosh, Ian, this is so rightly good of you to open up your own little estate to us rebel rousers whilst you go about your work at venues far away...

I'm getting all verklempt.... Talk amongst yourselves...

Ahhhh.... finally. A reason to take a trip to Montreal! ;)

I love a mower rodeo!

Well, here's another great party in Montreal I'm going to have to miss. If I left here this afternoon and drove generally non-stop, I'd arrive there just in time to help Ian with the cleanup. Being a generally shallow friend, I'm not at all interested in doing that, so I'll stay right here.

A couple points to consider for those who attend:

Parrots taste a lot like chicken, but they can defend themselves. KFC is probably a better choice.
Ian might not have all his camera equipment with him. PacAce, Sssim, or Scottes should be able to tell you where to find the rest of it.
Don't worry about the dog. Point a camera at her and she'll lay down on the sofa to pose.
If you see a three-legged mule, he will help you carry things out.
It's not clear whether or not IanD's wife is traveling with him or has elected to stay home and guard the silverware. If she's there, expect a fight. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security just because you have her outnumbered. Canadian women are very tough, I'm told.
The neighbors will be very cheerful and cooperative until they realize Ian is coming back. Then, they will likely become hostile.
During your lawnmower polo match, be mindful of the empty Molson bottles lying around in the tall grass. They can become lethal projectiles.
Stay away from Ian's barbeque. It is an instrument of torture and a terrible polluter of the atmosphere.

Anyway, have a good time.

Thos.

Yup, we're too busy getting the police to file out paperwork over at Ians house to bother logging in...

I'm only on line now as I need to recover. Doctor says the lawnmower blade can be removed, but I'll limp for a while.

Note to self: Don't try juggling running lawn mowers again...

Ian: Sorry about the blood on the white living room carpet... I'm sure blood comes out with ample application of red wine. It did seem to be working on the spot where the cask was leaking...

Hey! Everyone start cleaning up!

Ian's going to be home soon, and he's going be PO'd if he find this place a mess!

C'mon, help me get the rest of his couch into the fireplace... Someone sweep the cans under the rug...

Pssst. Leo, how'd we do on the yard sale, anyway? Did we get anything for the 3 remaining patio chairs?

Yeah, but just a nickel. And a Candadian nickel at that! The buyer kept insisting he wanted the full set of 4 patio chairs but I kept telling him there were only three because some uncoordintated klutz from south of the border sat on one of them and broke it to pieces!

Well, all I had was a nickle from home.

Ian. Hope you enjoyed the remodeling! We had fun. The lawnmower races went well. You neighbor won the championship though he cut a few corners (like the roses) to win. When he crashed through the patio door, he took off and didn't bother to collect his prize (half a burnt sofa.)

I regret changing the colour of your white plush carpet. A few gallons of red paint should match it up well. :(

We made a hefty amount of cash on the garage sale. No takers on the rest of the house though... The $103.42 was left stapled to the front door. Did you find it? We left a rather large note pointing to it. It said "IAN HERE IS YOUR MONEY" , you can't miss it. You can see it from the street.

Did you get any work done? Or were you worried about missing out on the fun?

Anyone up for a selling bass-ackwards duck pics? I have one bass-ackwards deer pic taken in Scotland. IanD saw it. With his computer being sold, I recon it makes it really hard to comment! We have to get him back up so we can wind him up again!

Hmm... no sign from Ian... Perhaps the neighbors kept their promise? I didn't think they would follow through, but they did seem pretty upset with us for shooting the fireworks through their windows. Plus the guy who used the lawnmower to coral their lawn ornaments got them good and riled (yeah and taking it through the closed patio door to grab a beer from their fridge didn't help. :) )

I pulled into the driveway real late Sunday night and much to my suprise the house was still standing. Grass was a little long but that is OK. Opened the garage door and everything was in its place, neat and tidy. Hmmmmmm said I to myself, guess the boys didn't come on over and have any fun. Oh well, always the next time. Next morning I'm out for aq walk with the dawg and we passed a home down the street. Same model as ours and the same paint. Only difference is the street number. 291 instead of 241. Man, that place looked like a wicked party had taken place. Nothing left of the front lawn that I could see. All the windows were opened and there were cases of Labattes piled up all over the place. Looked like someone was racing lawn mowers. Anyway the owners are away for aqnother week but will they be suprised!
BTW the owner is a dective in the RCMP.
Did ya miss me?

Hmmm... That other house... Strange, I wrote down your address... Yep, here it is. "291" right as rain. But it *did* seem that Jessie lost some weight. And changed color a bit.... Oh hell, I shoulda stuck to Molsons.

Glad you made it back in one piece, Ian? For a moment there I was starting to get worried that maybe you got just a little too close to one of those mountain bikes doing a hundred down the hill.

Anyway, welcome back! :)

Basically in one piece. Total losses for the week:
1 lens cap for the 17-40L. Lost during the 4X race finals Saturday night. Probably pounded into the dirt by now.
A bunch of skin off knuckles on both hands. Some moose cranked up all the bolts and stuff on the teams bikes. Parts will never vibrate off. Course it takes 2 strong men and a small donkey to loosen anything.
1 pr Oakley Monster Dawgs. (run over by Jarad Rando after falling off my head. Hey Jarad, ever hear of brakes or turning?)
1 Motorola V60 cel phone. (run over by Tom N while backing up rig. No questions please)
Various bits and pieces of flesh from legs. Lost while chasing Rob Warner over rock garden. Rob didn't fall, I did. (that is the reason he is Euro Champ and I'm not  )
1 pr Fox Ride pants.....see above.
1 Team Giant long sleeve jersey......see above.
1 Shimano XTR RD....see above
1 Hayes left brake lever....again see above.
Man did we have fun!

Does "honest mistake" hold up in court?
I thought it odd that you left the silent alarm armed. We had quite the time disabling it (it was the very tricky SA-X7 by SilentBuddy.)

Glad you're back, glad you had fun.

All my cel phones go "Quack" when they ring
Ended up with a v720 instead of the 300 or 600. Don't really need another camera and anyway, the 100-400 wont fit on the v600
