I am going to be doing some senior portraits this fall. Should I sink $1000 into some moonlights for my apt. or should I spend the money on glass or something else?
The moonlights would be in my Apt. so If I did not buy them I would have to rent a studio.
Some of the portraits will be taken outside, but it rains here a lot.

If the moonlights will only be for a specific job, why not rent them for a week or two... AND buy some glass with the remaining money...;) Although, you already have all the lenses I would need.. :( --jealous

well this is the thing. I will need to rent them 5 or 6 times because the portraits will not be at the same time.

What are moonlights?
If you're going to be using something a bunch, then I'd buy. And I'd buy good stuff. Don't cheap out.

I am going to be doing some senior portraits this fall. Is that your real business, or a sideline? I did my cousin's daughter last year, inside & outside & "cheaped out" with fairly good results.

So, I'd save the money for glass, but if you plan on doing this as a business, then good pro lights that you can depend on are a must.
