FUN with Liquids! (opinions please)

well ive been playing with these shots for a while, different liquids, and different setups. I really want to take a photo that I could blow up to poster size for my living room, somthing very impressive, and somthing that would blow people away. im happy with some of my shots(ive posted one other water drop photo before)
but there is somthing missing. what do you think i could do to make a water drip photo look more impressive?

bear in mind im using a 350D with kit lense. i dont have much money but i think with a different aproch this camera should be capable of producing what im looking for.

Before I saw the second shot (of the soap) I was going to say give the water a little color. You still could, since the water moves a little different than the soap. Great shots you have there.

I like them - I love playing around like this. But I think what you are wanting to do is get some "high speed" photos like this guy does http://www.liquidsculpture.com/ there are some fairly cheap ways to attempt this check out http://www.hiviz.com/

Kind of low on funds myself at the moment but I would like to try it one day.

Nice shots! do a search on this forum for water drops, you'll see some great captures. One type that impressed me was when the photog. used a homemade drip system or IV bag to get a constant drip, when they got the drip speed just right , they caught the impacts of the downward moving drop hitting the upward moving column caused by the previous water drop, kinda a mushroom effect.:D

Something I tried was using milk in the dish, and dripping water drops with food coloring into the milk, heres the link.

thats crazy! most of those shots look impossible. I guess if I could get a result like those i would deff have it blown up for my wall. but then again I dont think anyone would believe i took it. I already get people telling me that i didnt take photos similar to the ones I posted, and im an amature at this you know?

does anyone have any tips for me? i think the main problem is geting the drops to consitantly land within the focal point. if it is one centimeter to close or to far from the lens it will be out of focus. so 90% of my shots capture nice drops that are out of focus. i have the timing down pretty good. i also think I need to controll the color of the water reflection ambe with solid colored backgrounds and lights?
