This is a railroad site I check into from time to time. It makes for interesting reading. It is written by a gentleman who converted from Nikon to Canon DSLRs. For some, this might be useful information. As an occasional railroad photographer, I've found his information very helpful.
**WARNING**
Grumpy is a little bit salty at time, and his language does occasionally get colorful. Just thought you should know.

He he!!
What a fun read.
Grumpy made me realize three things:
I want the 200 f1.8
I want the 300 f2.8
and
I want the 400 f2.8
Now I feel grumpy cuz I can't afford any of these

Sorry guys, Canon EOS is simple the system to own. By the way, I'm not the only hard-core Nikon shooter to have jumped ship to Canon EOS — there are lots of us out there. How many EOS shooters do you think have migrated to Nikon? Enough said...
I think that about sums it up.
Canon OWNZ J00

That is an absolutely delightful read!! I am making a few copies for my 'died in the wool'- 'dinasoar' Nikon friends to see. Thanks for the tip.

I'm kinda shocked that he rates the Canon 28-70mm F2.8L lens in red. If that were the case, then Canon made a huge jump in the Canon 24-70mm F2.8L! Idunno...never shot w/ the 28-70; only 24-70 in that range.

I shoot with the 28-70 F/2.8L and get good results. However, I did some group shots that didn't quite turn out the way I wanted (could be inexperience however):

He didn't really comment on the 24-70 f2.8 L............So I wonder if he would've hated that too since they're both pretty equal on sharpness, contrast etc.............

I have been worshipping at the alter of the 200mm f/1.8 for many a moon now.. Somehow I don't think I'll ever own one though :(
