I am a current power user of photosite and in the last year have been very pleased with the results in any case they are discontinuing. The way we run our business is we take the pictures and put them on the photosite website with the file identification so customers can place orders and make proof selections. Is there another service out there that lets you put up pictures and also displays the file name like photosite does? Thank you in advance.

I also used photosite and have moved to SmugMug - you get a 50% off the first year if you enter "photosite" in the coupon code at SmugMug when you register. You can choose to display the filename or not. Dennis

Do you know on smugmug if there is a way to have the picture # showing so the customer can see it to choose proofs?

I use exposuremanager...and yes, you have the option of the photo's file name showing or not showing. I love exposuremanager for the proofing, but I don't prefer their lab, so I use the self-fulfillment option. Orders are placed and sent to my email and then I turn around and order them from my lab. I think its like $100 yearly for their service. You can also setup all kinds of packages, coupons, vouchers...I can't say enough good things about them.

Hi Cruser, You can confirgure SMugMaug anyway you want. You can show the picture number (filename) or not, quite easily. Your customers could also order proofs directly via SmugMug at a price you set (as I understand it - I have not done this). If you go the Pro route you can also configure your home page extensively with your look and feel. The site alos allows right click disabling as well as a limitation on the size of the image that can be displayed (you can also password directories). Good luck, Dennis
