Hello!
I'm a day new to this awesome forum, and I'm noticing that on a good percentage of posts, I don't see any of the images!
I don't get a red x or anything to signify an obvious browser error, so I'm not quite sure what to do!
Thanks for your time!

Under “user CP” click “edit options” and check to see if the “show pictures” option is checked in the display options portion. If not, click it.

Nope, if people numbered them, then I just see:
1.
2.
3.
So on.
Heres a random example of a thread where I can't see anything: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=356981

Ah, photobucket is blocked on this domain (I'm at work)

Our company block all know photosharing sites (amongst others), so I used to get the same thing, only attached images would show. I've since found a way round this... ;)

If your way around it is by using a proxy then read this. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=48814)
