Anyone contemplating a new printer MAN I just got my Canon i960 and it is nothing less than spectacular. Colour is positively perfect to original scene. Mind you flesh colour is not correct out of the box I had to setup a profile with -6 on the megenta and perfect every time. Picture quality is truely stunning at full page 8.5 x 11 and anyone would not be able to tell this was not a high quality lab print. Anyways if your looking get a Canon i960 you won't be dissapointed.

What are your setting?
Any luck with black & whites?
Got this printer recently and the prints were stunning, but downloading
a system upgrade messed up my settings (I work onMac)

I just got my i960 today and am very pleased with its performance right out of the box. I am debating if I should get the tools to make the monitor and finished prints closer to one another. I think my monitor shows the pictures to be brighter than the actual scenes were when I took the pictures. The prints look closer to what I remember the scenes to look like at the time I took the pictures.

I'd definitely recommend the colorimeter monitor calibration. Colorvision Spyder with PhotoCal software should be enough. Of course the quality and age of your monitor play a role, as well as your graphic card.
