Both with 600mm + 2XTC (1200mm) and MK III, Manual settings

Nice shots and incredible detail, but then, I'm not surprised. I got to play with a 500mm and a Mk3 the other day. The guy already had his Sigma 1.4x and Tamron 1.4x on and we added my 2x Sigma in the middle. The Mark 3 kept AF through all this and he shot a kingfisher on a stump out in the swamp and it looked like a perfectly in focus macro shot. You could see the pupil in his eye. :)

can't believe that i missed this one Allen!! the second shot should be printed 20x30 and put on a wall!!!
