Woah - that IS scary.
EDIT - apparently, from reading the thread, it is not all that uncommon for ANY brand.

I guess it's time to add another tool in our camera bags, a little screw driver for those little screws used to hold the big lenses together.
Can you imagine, the whole weight of those big lenses being carried by just 4 little screws!?!? :shock:

Actually, the large lenses carry the weight of the camera body on the mount screws.
