Printing Photos

I am sure this has been discussed somewhere in this forum but I will ask the question anyway.

In your opinions/experiences is it better/cheaper to do it yourself or to use a pro lab at about .50 cents a piece for 4" By 6" prints? The results from the lab are excellent and they're archival prints. Thanks in advance.

I print out a bunch, but only the ones that I know I will want to replace later on. The ones that I know I want a real print to keep or give away I have been sending off to Sam's - Samsclub.com. You don't have to be a member of Sam's to have your photos developed here and they are only 24 cents for a 4x6. They send them to a Fuji lab and they come back on Fuji archive paper. I've been pretty happy with them.
