I want to subscribe to a Photoshop video tutorial service and I am having difficulity in filtering out the better ones.
Has anyone had experience with; Lynda.com or TotalTraining.com or NAPP Training. Those are the three that I'm looking at.

Honestly, There are far too many free tutorials out there that will teach you anything you need to know, so why subscribe?
I learned along time ago that I am my own best teacher. See a processed image then try to figure out how it was done the try to do it.

I met Lynda several years ago at Adobe, and she was demonstrating some of the new features of Photoshop CS. She has a great teacher-student rapport, and also she seems like fun. I bought one of her Flash tutorials after that, and learned quite a bit.
She would be my first choice.
Goforphoto is right though. There is a plethora of free stuff tutorials on the web, you just have to hunt them down. Google away!

If you learn well from video NAPP has an extensive library and other membership benefits that are appealing. I went to a seminar and then joined and am glad I did, I learned more from the seminar tho simply because that is a better medium for me personally.

I love Lynda.com. They have 3 levels of photoshop cs3 training, and the color correction is excellent. The best part is that you only need to buy it when you need it. $25 gets you a month of as much time as you can put to it.
The good thing about lynda is the multiple teachers, and the different approaches. It will take you a good while to see all the training videos you want to see.
Having said that, I think all the training you mentioned is worth the money.

1st and foremost why do you need it? I took a class at a local art institute and was totally blown away by what PS2 could do--they had not even upgraded to CS3. I found that program was a waste of time for me and purchased PSE5 and LR for half of what the student ed of PS3 would have cost me. I'll tell you, unless you are really doing weird things with to your images, or taking crappy photos, don't waste your time on PS3!

I spent some time perusing Lynda.com's site and the varity is astounding. Took the sample training and found it very adaquate. For the other people that don't need the formal training. I envy you.
Thanks for the input!!

I have some free video tutorials on my site www.easyonlineprints.com (http://www.easyonlineprints.com) Just go to the site and click on the "Video Tutorials" link.
I too recommend lynda.com I like how you can sign up for just one month at a time.
I like TotalTraining but don't like how you have to subscribe for one year at a time.

There is a LOT of info in the the "Sticky"s at the top of many of the parts of the forum.
Be sure to take the time to look through them all. If we didn't think that they would help, we wouldn't have bothered to write them?
