I was needing to know what a good size to make you pic to save for web? like in forums and such. I have a photo gallery but when I do upload my pic's to there is takes so long.. I only have dial-up. So what would be good size to do them so they will upload faster and not look to badly?

For this forum, I would suggest 500px wide. I actually usually go 400px wide, but the forum seems to always resize the pics automatically to 500px, making them look pixelated. So I just go with 500. For general web use, I usually just go 600 wide on landscape or 400 portrait.

Are you uploading them at original size right now? Try uploading at 800x600 (800 pixels is the max for this board, anyway) and if that takes too long on dialup, try resizing to 640x480. Hope this helps. :)

I don't know how you display them but you might consider to make them a tad smaller than those sizes.
@ 800*600 someone with 800*600 resolution have to scroll in a full window but if you make them just a little smaller (like maybe 760 wide) they'll they'll fit. Same with 640*480. Not that that resolution is usual anymore but if you make them close to a screen resolution size you can as well make them fit. :P

Good point, meow. Yeah, that is true... I have my screen size to 1024 x 768, so a 800 x 600 image will fit on my screen without any problems, but some people do still use a screen size of 800 x 600, so they will have to scroll to fit the whole image on their screen. In that case a 640 x 480 would work good. Something to take into consideration.
