View Full Version : help needed with straight lines

one of my friends, asked me to come and take some pictures of clean room facility he had. i was hand holding and taken the pictures. obviously in most of the images the horizontal and vertical lines are out, as you can see from the following pictures.
i tried to straighten them in photoshop and not happy with the results. apart from keeping the camera horizontal and keeping it on tripod is there anything i should be doing to get these pictures come out properly.

Try playing around in Photoshop---capture with your rec marquee tool the entire image then EDIT / TRANSFORM / PRESPECTIVE

thanku . i am tryin it out. apart from photoshopping, what are the precautions i shud take when takin photos.

Get a grid focusing screen and if you're going to do allot of this kind of thing maybe a T&S lens.

not into regular ops like this. grid focussing screen i shall definitely try it out. thanks once more.

Lines are tough, especially with a UWA. I use a tripod/remote combo then photoshop the heck out of it. Try different focal lengths for the least distortion. I have to use the barrel distortion in PS too.
