Just had a call to say one of my images is being used next month in an advert in the UK's two biggest motorsport magazines. I had a couple used last year, but I wasn't planning on any this, so it has come as a welcome surprise.

This isn't the actual shot, but it is as close as it comes (have to be careful about showing a shot about to be published). Oh, and Cadwell, if you read this, you were standing right next to me when I took the actual shot. Can I claim you as a lucky charm??

No, I have a commitment for Oulton Park on Saturday (8:30am at the circuit) and another to take my good lady out on Sunday. I could dodge the first, but it would be more than my life is worth if I didn't do the second. Let me know how you get along.

Jeff, as the advert is for the owners of the car there was no release necessary. Last year one was for a manufacturer, so no release again and the other was of so many in one shot the agency simply 'winged' it.

hope i'll be lucky enough to find u at Silverstone, though i won't have access to the area where 400mm and above are pointing to the tracks :P

No, unfortunately, as they would be paying to advertise me.

I have a calendar coming out for next year through one of my publishers and I have insisted that credits appear on each and every page, including the back cover. I like the idea of a whole year's advertising and they have agreed.
