Can I use Nickle Cadmium rechargeable cell with canon powershot A75.
If yes, what does it differ from recomended NiMH ones? will it affect life of camera?

A Ni-Cad just won't last very long.. they are old and weak technology.. otherwise feel free to try.. the only fear is if they are old and running down the voltage may drop.. but this can happen to any rechargable i guess....
I'd invest in some good 1800-2100MHA NMH batts though.. they will last a LOT longer on a charge.

They might be old and weak but they are still the most hardey of batterys when it comes to a constant discharge/charge cycle.

I have experimented with an (old) set of NiCads and they work but have limited capacity. Additionally they tend go out without warning, so the lens remains extened , non-capped etc... :(
Other thing: Has anybody experience operating NiMH-charger with small current? My portable solar panel only provides 100mA or less in cloudy weather.
