Not the one I was trying to get but non the less it's a female RTH. She was sitting about 15-20 feet up in one of my pecan trees. There were about 6-8 male and female hummer's in the yard this afternoon. The male would light in my blueberry bush (as long as I was inside) the minute I went outside with the camera he made himself scarce and steered clear of the blueberry bush. When I came back inside.....he started lighting in the blueberry bush....AGAIN.

Still learning my camera and PS and having fun while learning.:D

Definitely a cutie. These little speedsters can be difficult to shoot at times. Thanks for sharing.

Good catch. Try setting a chair up about 8 or 10 feet from the bush, sit there with the camera on the tripod and don't move. He'll be back soon enough. I sit in my yard every evening just a few feet from one of my feeders, and it didn't take them long to get over it. ;)

Mitch,

That's what I do....late afternoon I go and sit about 10 or so feet from the feeders, and they all seem to avoid the area 30 feet around me. Haven't gotten my new tripod in but it should be here tomorrow, so hopefully the shots will improve with having the camera mounted on it.

Thanks again for the tips about the layer sharpening in PS. It really makes a difference in the photo's.
