If there was one event this year I was definitely going to attend it was gonna be Euroboss, so when it was moved to Snetterton instead of Brands I was…some what please :D
Although numbers were low (and I mean low) the overall lap record was slashed by nearly 3 seconds, so you get the idea they were quick.
Support included Jedi’s, Euro Saloons Alfa’s, and the (not so) "Fun" Cup.

I quite like the Footwork - shame more of the car wasn't in shot. Some of the others look a little soft, and one or two a bit dark due to -2/3 or -1 stop exposure compensation.

As commented all the pictures lack brightness, focus is good and well panned.

Softness could be either due to poor technique, poor optics or poor sharpening technique
If you're ever at Snett when I'm there you're welcome to try out my Sigma 100-300 f4 EX, which I find to be excellent - you can pick up secondhand ones at around £ 350 and is the middle ground between the cheap end consumer lenses and expensive L glass.
If you take a picture of a static car at the same focal lenght and settings (altough single shot focus mode) is it soft? Maybe the focussing motor is struggling to keep up?

A new lens is definatly something im considering but it seems very easy to just blame the equipment! Would the Sigma show an improvement over the standard Canon 90-300? Also i guess the poor technique would just basically be me?

thats why I suggested taking a picture of a static object using similar settings to the race cars to see whether it was a problem caused by constantly adjusting focus.
Poor technique, yes, am afraid that means you. Practise makes perfect.
When I first got my Sigma 100-300 I was upgrading from a Sigma 70-300 (non APO) so I did a brick wall test comparing three lenses at different focal lengths and apertures, against a Tamron 28-300 lens I keep in my camera bag for convenience. I was amazed at the improvement in detail and clarity the more expensive lens gave.
If you send me an email to andrew@norwichphoto.co.uk I can send you samples so you can see what I found.

I dont think i'll go to snet this weekend but probably go randomly next week so i'll test that out.
That'll be great to see the diff between the shots, my email is mooosehat@hotmail.co.uk.
By the way, im the one focusing on the object instead of using AF, as i find th elens very slow to react could this be a cause also...?
