 Must.... resist... buying... more... lensessss....
Why didn't anyone warn me how addictive it was? :(
First I spend a grand for S1 IS and accessories. Now I bought the rebel yesterday :? The sales people didn't tell me what I was getting into.
Buying lenses is only a matter of time now
Right now the rebel is lying in his box and I'm taking off to a cycling trip. I'm taking S1 IS cause I know it better. Will test rebel when I get home.
I won't have anything to eat at the end of my next school year.

I'm an idiot too. Got the D60, then sold it for the 10D. The number of lenese I've bought/sold has staggered my mind. I'm now relatively happy with the 16-35L, the 50 f/1.4, 35 f/2, 100 f/2.8 Macro and the 70-300 DO. I'm done, darnit.
Until, of course, the replacement to the 10D comes out... Yikes.

Doc:
Your survey is interesting but flawed. It should read as follows:
Am I an idiot:
1. No.
2. Yes, you're one of us.
This way, the question makes more sense to us idiots. It isn't likely to change the results of the survey, either.

well, it's just a phase everyone here has to go thru, i believe.
u'll be bouncing in and out piles of lenses for a while until u finally own everything u need, a whole collection which fully covers ur shooting range, in another word, you are set.
until then, oh boy, it's gonna be a lot of fun and pain

I'm making adjustments. I'm gonna try to have 3 lenses only. Right now I have 4. Too much overlapping. So I'm selling them and I have 2 Sigma lenses coming to my door on Wed. 1) 24-70 f/2.8 Ex and 1) 70-200 Ex f/2.8. I will save a little and get a super TELE later one to complete my range from 24-200 +

i guess its about 4 months now, i got a 300d with a kit lens and memory...about a month ago i started actually using it more than once a week, and realized i could do cool things with it, so i got a 50mm f1.8
and a week ago i got a 70-200L f4 which i have barely used...
next goal is to pay off my fraternity dues, plan a big road trip this summer, and get a 17-40 f4 L just cause i want one...the kit lens is great, but if i ever sell the rebel, id like to have that focal range in my arsenal...
i really want a fisheye too...but ive tried a few, nothing is really fishy on the 300d, sorta sucks

I can't tell you how much flack I've caught in "the war zone©" for posting things like:
Help, I'm hemorrhaging hundred dollar bills
The up side is that after you have done this for a while you will have some extra camera things to sell when you are going to hemorrhage another grand or two on new stuff... The healing power of self-delusion... If that would only work on my wife who remembers what my For Sale items originally cost...

LOL
Thing one:
I intended my poll options to be like this:
1)Yes
2)No
3)Now, you're one of us (so don't fret it)
But it was 5 am and I'm not used to this forum interface... so the options turned out funny   I meant no disrespect.
Thing two:
I realized the difference between a 600$ bike and a 100 dollar one. After I've biked from Toronto to Niagara and back. I also regret not spending 50 bucks for a good seat (My ass hurts like hell)
Thing three:
I have some pics of the falls. Downloading them right now, will post some later.
I will start studying rebel soon.
