On my 430EX, my SEL/SET and "+" "-" buttons are not working. Every other button on the flash works, except those three buttons. ie.- when I switch to manual mode on the flash, I can't change any settings because the +/- buttons do not work. Anyone have any ideas?

Take it to a camera store and compare it with another one. Could be the buttons, could be something little thing you're doing wrong.

make sure the pull-out (wide diffuser?) is pushed back in totally.
