Went out the other day out of boredom, decided to shoot some skateboarding for the second time, so any critique would be appreciated, whether it's compostion, lighting, anything.

Good photos, and good use of the flash. I'd have to say that the first one is the best mainly because of the angle of the shot (and it reminds me of an old Sal Barbier photo). One suggestion would be to put a little more space between the camera and the subject. If someone is doing a hardflip off the bank over the 6' gap, you want to show the whole story.

thanks, and not to blame the gear, but my sync cable is about three feet long, and i didn't feel like pulling out the 30' cable, but next time i'm out, i guess i will.

i like 1-2-4 ... the ones with the arms pointing back just bug me for some reason ... not really sure why haha

Cut off hands are a no-no. Most of them look like they were taken too early. Skater is lit in most, but the obstacle is not. Work on all that.
