Here is a more typical shot and also another goldfinch at work .
I like to take some pictures of the birds as they go about their business, sometimes the pictures trun out really neat.

Thanks for the comments.
I got these laying on the ground in the open, about 15-20 feet from the birds.
They did not seem to be bothered by me being there. They just kept on feasting.
I have been able to do this other times also.

I really like the one where he is stretching for the seeds. Good composition, exposure and god use of DoF. The bird gave his best with this angle and all, too.
