Young Robin (earlier this year)

This young chap was on our driveway, next to the drivers door of my car.

I encouraged the bird to shoo away from my car so I could go to work, but couldn't resist taking a pic.

It's a really great shot, sharp and nice detail. I wish we had them over here. :)

Looking at the EXIF I noticed the focal lenght was 44mm. What lens did you use?
How close was the little guy?!

1. I used the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my 30D.
2. Once I got it away from my car, I went back indoors for my camera. I was then laying on the floor from behind my car crawling on my belly as quietly as poss. Only got 1 shot off & then it flew away!
3. I used my old 380EX flash & was a little dissappointed with the saturation not looking quite right.
